Risks and disclaimers
Oracle, keeper, issuer, smart-contract and regulatory risks, and the full legal disclaimer.
A trailing stop reduces one risk: giving back a gain while you are not watching. It does not remove risk. Read this page before you use Rind.
Execution risk
A trailing stop is a trigger, not a guaranteed price. Prices can gap through your trigger, especially at the market open or on sudden news. Selling moves the pool price. If slippage would exceed the cap, the sale fills partially or waits. The final price can be below your trigger. In a recovering market, a stop can also sell just before the price rises again.
Oracle risk
Rind depends on Chainlink price feeds during market hours and on Uniswap TWAPs in Night mode.
- A feed can stop updating. Rind then freezes the position, which can delay an exit.
- A feed can report a wrong price. Sanity checks reduce this risk but cannot remove it.
- A TWAP can be pushed by sustained trading in a thin pool. The 30-minute window and the wider drop make this expensive, not impossible.
Keeper liveness
Stops are executed by keepers. If no keeper acts, a triggered stop waits. Gas spikes, RPC failures or a lack of keepers can delay execution, and a delayed sale can fill at a worse price.
Issuer actions on Stock Tokens
Stock Tokens are products of their issuer, Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. The issuer can pause transfers, freeze addresses, or handle corporate actions under its own terms. Any of these can freeze a position and block withdrawals. Rind cannot override issuer controls.
Smart-contract risk
The vault contracts are not deployed and have not been audited. After deployment and audits, bugs can still exist. A bug could lead to loss of funds. Admin controls and the timelock reduce some risks and add others.
Chain risk
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit layer 2. Sequencer downtime, reorgs, bridge issues or network upgrades can delay or block transactions.
Regulatory risk
Stock Tokens are not available to US persons. Rules for tokenized securities differ by country and can change. You are responsible for checking that you may hold and trade Stock Tokens where you live. Rind has no KYC and does not check eligibility.
Token risk
$RIND has not launched and has no contract address. Any token using the name today is fake. After launch, $RIND can lose value. Fee routing to buy and burn does not promise any price outcome.
