Overview
Introduction
Rind is a non-custodial trailing-stop vault for Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain.
Rind is a trailing-stop vault for Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain. You deposit a Stock Token, pick a drop from the high, and walk away. The vault tracks the highest price since your deposit. If the price falls by your chosen drop from that peak, a keeper sells your position into USDG. The USDG is yours.
The rind keeps the fruit. The idea is simple: protect the gain you already have, without watching a chart all night.
What Rind is
Rind is a small set of smart contracts and a network of keepers.
- A vault. You deposit one Stock Token per position. One position per Stock Token per wallet. You can withdraw at any time.
- A ratchet. The vault records a high-water mark. It starts at your deposit price and only ever moves up.
- A trigger. You choose a drop of 5%, 8%, 12% or 20%. Stakers of $RIND can also choose 3%. When the price touches the high-water mark minus your drop, the stop fires.
- An executor. Keepers watch every position. When a stop fires, a keeper sells into USDG at the best available venue, within a capped slippage.
Who it is for
Rind is for people who hold Stock Tokens and want a rule that runs while they sleep.
| You are | Rind helps because |
|---|---|
| A long-term holder with a large gain | The stop follows the price up and protects most of the gain |
| A holder in a different time zone | The chain trades 24/7; your attention does not need to |
| Someone who uses stops in a brokerage account | Same logic, on-chain, with your own custody |
| A builder or keeper operator | Keepers earn a bounty for correct execution |
What Rind is not
Rind is deliberately narrow. It does one thing.
- Not a broker. Rind does not issue, list or price Stock Tokens. Stock Tokens are products of their issuer.
- Not a lender. There is no margin, no borrowing and no liquidation.
- Not a counterparty. Rind never takes the other side of your trade. Sales route to existing venues.
- Not a price guarantee. A trailing stop is a trigger, not a guaranteed price. If the market gaps through your level, the sale happens below it.
- Not affiliated with Robinhood. Rind is independent software built on Robinhood Chain, a public network.
The vault contracts are not deployed yet. These docs describe the intended design. The demo app simulates the vault in your browser so you can try the flow with a real wallet signature and no funds at risk.
Where to go next
- The problem explains why a 24/7 market needs a rule that follows the price.
- How it works walks through a full position with numbers.
- Trailing-stop mechanics gives the formal rule.
- $RIND token covers the token status. It has not launched. The contract address will be announced only on @Rind_rwa.
